Our Mission

We Believe
In the verbal inspiration of the Bible.
In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely, the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and raised from the dead; that He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the intercessor.
That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.
That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word; and by the Holy Ghost.
Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people.
In the baptism of the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart. In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.
In the Lord’s supper and washing of the Saints’ feet.
In the premillennial second coming of Jesus. First to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living Saints to Him in the air. Second, to reign on the earth a thousand years.
In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous and eternal punishment for the wicked.
Leadership
“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).
Conrad Klassen was born and raised on a grain and cattle farm in Southwest Manitoba, and regularly attended Whitewater Mennonite Church in Boissevain with his parents and three siblings. Later on, the family transitioned to St. Andrew’s non-denominational church in Boissevain. From an early age Conrad had great passion for academics, reading, Bible memorization and music, and received formal training in classical piano from Mrs. Tenley Dyck.
“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).
After graduating high school in 2007, Conrad received a package of audio recordings of faith-filled preaching from a close relative. These sermons were from preachers such as Mike Morrison (MMM Ministries, Wyoming) and Keith Moore (Faith Life Church, Missouri). After listening to these audio recordings, Conrad placed his faith in Jesus Christ alone for his eternal salvation, and knew that he was saved. This experience greatly emphasized to Conrad how powerful and important it is to have quality, faith-filled preaching in the church. Merely intellectual sermons are not enough. Preaching must be Bible-based, Spirit-filled, and full of faith to really change people’s lives.
Conrad moved to Winnipeg in 2007 to further his music studies at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU). For the next seven years, from 2007-2014, Conrad attended Immanuel Fellowship Church (part of the Evangelical Missionary Church of Canada) in Fort Richmond. Immanuel Fellowship is a pre-dominantly African congregation led by pastor couple Rev. Dr. Deborah Olukoju & Rev. Dr. Akin Olukoju, and young adult pastor Rev. Andrew Bawa. This church connection proved to be one of the most important spiritual training grounds for Conrad. After completing one year of full-time studies at CMU, he chose to go into the work force while staying connected to Immanuel Fellowship Church.
“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me…” (Acts 1:8).
2008 was a very important year. That summer, after seeking the Lord in much prayer and fasting, Conrad received the baptism of the Holy Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues at a young adult conference in Pinawa, Manitoba. This experience greatly changed Conrad’s life going forward. He recounts, “No one laid their hands on me. I received the infilling of the Holy Spirit by simple faith in Christ alone, and in the promise of Scriptures - especially Acts 2:39, “For the promise [of the Holy Spirit] is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call”. I got up off the floor praying in a beautiful, full, complete, heavenly language I had never heard before in my life. Now, it was so much easier and enjoyable to pray! I could fully express my thoughts and feelings to the Lord in unhindered fellowship. Not only that, but I had great power to fight every spiritual enemy that would try to attack me in mind or in body.” Conrad believes that all believers can and should pray in tongues according to Acts 2:38-39, and that it is a wonderful gift available from the Lord to enhance the life of the believer.
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations” (Jeremiah 1:4).
2014 was another very important year. During a regular time of prayer and fasting at the beginning of the year, Conrad distinctly sensed the Holy Spirit prompting him to ‘double your fasting and praying time, immediately’. Conrad obeyed the Lord, not knowing the purpose of it. Later that summer, the call to preach came very strongly from the Lord.
Conrad currently lives and ministers in Nanaimo, Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
